New, Slimline Type SNS and SLS Roller Runner Blocks from Rexroth

Rexroth’s two new slimline roller runner block model series improve flexibility and make it possible to use high-load linear guides in tight spaces such as machine tools. The slimline-normal and slimline-long runner blocks, now also available in standard height, are compact enough to replace ball rail with roller rail systems for improved performance. This increases the load capacity of the axis by almost 200 percent while minimizing design outlay. Included among the runner blocks available is a corrosion-resistant variant, Resist CR, with a matt silver, hard-chrome plated steel body. The entire line covers sizes ranging from 25 to 55 in accuracy classes P and SP.

The new SNS and SLS runner blocks from Rexroth combine ultrahigh static and dynamic load capacity with an extremely compact design. Overall width measures a mere 48 mm and 100 mm in sizes 25 and 55, respectively. Four rows of rollers in O arrangement ensure superior rigidity in all main load axes and a good flow pattern even under extreme conditions. Close manufacturing tolerances enable Rexroth runner blocks to be used with all Rexroth profiled rails of the corresponding type and size for unrestricted exchangeability. The runner block is mounted by simply sliding it onto the profiled rail from the transport lock.

The integrated end-to-end seal of the new runner blocks extends service life. Lube nipples on all sides facilitate maintenance and new lube ducting minimizes the quantity of lubricant used. Mixing with cooling lubricants is largely ruled out as a result and environmentally-friendly operation is enhanced as well as costs lowered.
