Tool Positioning System for Real Time Tool Tracking

100% error proofing from the Experts in the Assembly of Critical Production Parts

In the case of critical fastening of parts, you may have already invested a lot of resources to acheive a level of error proofing that was a good start but still have parts leaving the factory with potential defects. Now the need to acheive a quality standard that ensures parts leaving your facility are 100% torque, angle, operator, date and LOCATION tracked. We can do that as well as visually walk the oeprator through the entire assembly cell sequence!

The ever increasing loss of an experienced workforce affects all companies -retraining is costly and the problem is compounded when you have a quality concern or are trying to win the new contract which avoids that scenario at the onset? Did somebody forget to add an oring?? we can TRack that too!

We are proud to Introduce an industry proven, Local Tool Positioning system (LPS). This non-camera based, cutting-edge tool tracking system is designed to streamline your operations, implement quickly and work day in and day out to ensure quality is No.1, 100% of the time.

Core Tools’ exclusive Positioning system will work with ANY smart tool that has ethernet IP and/or Open Protocol (OP) functionality. Our focus is to use our unique assembly experience and expertise with major tool manufacturers to resolve your production problems.

Un-surpassed Technology! The accuracy and precision of our Local Postion System (LPS) is unparalleled. The LPS is exact to the millimeter in a normal production environment and Under ideal conditions, the accuracy and precision of the system is a fraction of a millimeter!

MOVING LINES are not a problem! We follow the part!

Areas like EV Batteries, cylinder heads, specialized medical equipment or Aerospace assemblies are all perfect applications for this technology.

Specification examples:

Accuracy:

  • The absolute accuracy of locating a transmitter under straight-line-facing conditions is 0.55 mm, with a typical distance of two meters between the transmitter and the receiver.
  • If the transmitter and receiver are at an angle of 40° and facing away from each other in both horizontal and vertical axes, the localization accuracy of the system falls to 0.96 mm – still less than one mm!

Precision:

  • The precision with which a certain position can be hit repeatedly. If the transmitter and receiver are two meters apart, the precision is 0.21 millimeters at an angle of 0 °.
  • With an inclination of 40° between the transmitter and receiver, a precision of 0.33 millimeters can be achieved.
